Two shows cancelled
October 8, 2013: Due to Justin's illness, the Appleton and Des Moines concerts scheduled for October 8 and 9 have been cancelled. Rescheduled dates are being arranged at this time.

2014 Moodies Cruise
Summer 2013: Ahoy matey! The 2013 Moody Blues Cruise was such a success, the band has decided to do it again! Mark your calendars for April 2-7, 2014, when fans and musicians will set sail out of Miami on board the MSC Divina. The Isle Of Wight theme will include lots of sunshine, onboard parties, refreshments, and performances by the Moody Blues and other bands of the "classic rock" genre. Visit Moodies Cruise for more information and to sign up for their mailing list.

Gordy's book to be published later this year
May 2012: Moody Blues backup drummer Gordy Marshall will be releasing his long-awaited book in September 2012. Entitled Postcards From A Rock & Roll Tour, this book features a collection of amusing and insightful anecdotes compiled from over 20 years of touring with the band. Gordy's Postcards began as a series of blog posts during the Summer 2010 tour, and they proved so popular that the decision was made last year to publish them. Graeme has provided the foreword. Visit this site to pre-order your copy...shipping is free, and for a small extra charge Gordy will sign it for you!

Spring 2012 tour
March 2012: The Moodies kicked off their Spring 2012 tour with a performance at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. Early reports indicate that the band has added four new songs to the setlist: Gemini Dream, You And Me, Say It With Love and Nervous. They have removed Lean On Me, Gypsy and Meanwhile. Backing the band are Gordy Marshall, Alan Hewitt, Norda Mullen and Julie Ragins. There's also a new item at the merchandise table this year: autographed copies of Graeme's new book, The Written Works Of Graeme Edge. This collection of poetry and stories from the band's history was compiled and edited by Gordy Marshall, who is also working on a book of his own.

Justin on the mend
June 2011: As Justin's voice improves, the band is playing a slightly shorter show to allow him to conserve his vocal energies. A few of the more strenuous songs are missing, and Talking Out Of Turn has been temporarily added. UPDATE: Justin's voice was almost back to full strength for the last four shows of the tour, and all of the missing songs were restored. Talking Out Of Turn also remained in the setlist until the end.

Tour back on schedule
June 1, 2011: Tonight's concert in Eugene, Oregon is going on as planned. Justin became ill prior to the Salt Lake City concert and lost his voice, resulting in a shortened show and the unfortunate cancellation of the Boise concert. After an extra day of rest, the tour is back on schedule. Please visit MBT here to find out if the Boise show will be rescheduled.

Boise concert cancelled
May 30, 2011: From Moody Blues Today: "Due to the unexpected illness of one of the key band members, the Moody Blues must regrettably cancel tomorrow night's (Tuesday May 31st) show at the Botanical Gardens in Boise. Please hold on to your tickets for a few days until it can be determined whether or not the concert will be rescheduled. Once more details are available they will be posted here."

Seth Swirsky's Beatles Stories released
Spring 2011: Two years ago, we reported that Justin was interviewed by filmmaker Seth Swirsky for his Beatles documentary A Year In The Life. That film, now known as Beatles Stories, has been released and is garnering rave reviews at various film festivals. Click here to visit the official website. You can view a trailer at Seth's website here.

March newsletter on Justin's site
March 2011: Justin reminisces about the music of his youth and his first year with the Moody Blues in his March newsletter.

Legends & Lyrics update
Spring 2011: According to a staff member at Legends & Lyrics, the PBS series has hit a financial snag, leaving the status of the Season 2 episodes up in the air. Staff reductions and difficulties in finding a sponsor mean that no definite release date can be given at this point. Justin's episode (Episode 114 Season 2) was taped in Nashville in February 2009. Fans can visit the official Legends & Lyrics site or the Legends & Lyrics Facebook page to keep informed of any new developments.

Threshold Records closing
January 2011: The Threshold Record Shop in Cobham will be closing on February 28th. Competition from larger stores and online sales were apparently too much for this little shop with the big reputation. This marks the end of operations for the Threshold business, founded by the Moody Blues in the early 70s as a record label and record store chain. If you have a chance, stop by the store for some great deals, or e-mail Phil at sales@threshold-cd.co.uk.
